‘Getting really close to my face and then sneezing on me’: Cat pawrents dish out a fancy feast of funny “toxic traits” their hissterical fur children have adopted at home

What a Meownday it is, feline fam. We awoke this meowrning, like we do almost every meowrning, to our cat stepping on our face to wake us up and demand we feed them breakfast (at 6 o'clock in the morning). We've grown to accept this, although we must say that in the beginning it was quite the back-and-forth between us. Like all good hooman servants, we caved, and now we get up at six to feed our cat breakfast, then go back to bed.

This is our cat's toxic trait, and we're sure your cats have some hilarious traits as well that you wish were non-existent. The cat pawrents of the internet confessed, and let's just say that we're happy ours just wakes us up in the early hours of the meowrning. This thread is not only silly, but purrfectly relatable.     This is Nova and her toxic trait is that she loves to drop her toys in her water bowl and then bring them to me on the bed absolutely soaked-leaving wet spots all over my bedding.

  • Oh, Nova, why must you make everything so wet? We love that you love playing with your toys…in the water…but we would love if the water would stay in the bowl, and not all over our bed. Luckily, our cat doesn't do that. She just makes biscuits on our faces  until we wake up to give her food. It kind of feels good, until one of her paws gets into your mouth. You wake up real fast when that happens!

Now he goes to the kitchen several times a day and yells for me to come get out the nonexistent toys for him. My other cat barks

  • This is the worst!! They trick you with affection and desire for cuddles, only to sneeze directly into your open mouth, or even worse, your eyes. It's the worst kind of deception. They may not do it on purrpose, but we think they might. Let's be honest, they're cats. Everything they do is on purrpose.

After depleting the oxygen level in my blood, they also have the audacity to come close to me to have a cuddle session just after detonating what I can only define as bio weapons.

    This is Black Bean. His toxic trait is he desperately wants attention. Yells for it constantly. But when the humans try to give him such attention, he runs away. He only wants pets on the pet hammock or a cat tree of his choosing. Butterscotch in the back- her toxic trait is she only wants anchovies and tuna in gravy. But she only wants the anchovies. The tuna and gravy gets in the way. However, if it's not there to distract her, she also doesn't want it

    Friday hates dogs. My SIL has the sweetest little dachshund and Friday terrorizes that poor dog whenever it's here. It will just be sitting in its bed sleeping and she'll walk up to the bed, get right in the dogs face and hiss (waking it up all startled) and then just walks off and goes and sits by the window. She also gets very upset when the dog is getting pets or treats, even though she gets a steady supply.

The cat absolutely yells at her when she sneezes. 26 degrees outside and he'll get up from his cozy warm spot in front of the fireplace and make his way downstairs, at her the whole time. It's quite funny to listen to him complain, but he's always done this when she sneezes.

And then gets on the litter box to swipe at me while I do my thing. The other 99% of the time, she's chill. But it's the bathroom she detects and gets in attack mode.
